A Trip to Palm Beach and a Visit With Adolfo

I just returned from the U.S. a few days ago, just as the finals of the U.S. Open Polo Championships were going on. I got a chance to visit with my friends Adolfo Cambiaso and Maria Vasquez as Adolfo prepared to play the final for Valiente against Orchard Hill and Facundo Pieres. I got to see all of the new horses Adolfito is playing from his breeding program in Argentina and tour the amazing facilities at Valiente. It looks more like a resort than a polo stable! So beautiful! Palm Beach has changed so much since I was last there. We were there to look into polo for our client and since our horses in the U.K. and our kids were missing us, we did not get a chance to stay for the final.

I was so excited to get a chance to see my good friend, Kiki, better known as Kathleen Gannon these days but she will always be Kiki to me. When I was working in Palm Beach with Outback, we spent so much time together and I lived at her house for some of that time. We haven't seen each other in forever and she's just gotten engaged and I got to meet her future husband... I am so happy for her and excited about her wedding! Love you, Kiki!

We stayed in Aventura at Turnberry Isle Resort which was in between Miami where my sister Fio and her family live and Wellington, where the polo is played. Our incredible room overlooked the beautiful golf course and had a balcony where we had matte each day.

Looking forward to being back in Palm Beach next winter for the high goal season. Until then, we are really getting excited about the summer season in the U.K.!
